The Maldives boasts all kind of water-based adventure sport. For the energetic and adventurous, the Maldives is just as rewarding a destination as it is for the sloppy sun worshiper or sophisticated epicure.
With 99% of its region being sea, the Maldives is one of the world’s leading water-sports centers with its environment of islands and turquoise blue waters forming the flawless combination for a natural water-sports arena.
#1. Canoeing & Catamaran sailing
Canoes can be lent for an energetic paddle around a lagoon from all except about resorts. While it might seem humble, it’s a challenging form of exercise, especially in the sun.

Skip jacket tuna is trapped there. Fishing in a lagoon is not allowed. Some resorts have boats especially designed for big game fishing with fixed seats and rod holders for fighting the big ones, and methods for finding fish.
Fly-boarding is a thrilling sport taking water skiing in a new direction: upwards.
It’s a thrill seeker’s dream that enables the contestant to shoot up into the air and zoom over the waves.
The fly-board itself is strapped to the feet of the operator and is connected to a jet ski by a pipe. The power of the jet-ski produces water through the pipe jettisoned out at great pressure beneath the fly-board.
This powers it and the fly-boarder, supported by the pipe, up to about 9m to10m above the water. The power portion of the experience is skillful by an expert instructor on the accompanying jet-ski.
#4. Free diving
Freediving is a free action because for doing this no equipment has to be borrowed. This thrilling sport is also known as skin diving.
It depend on on the diver’s ability to hold breath underwater until rising, instead of using traditional breathing gears such as scuba gear.
Free diving is actually an olden practice in the Maldives to unhook an anchor caught in a reef.
#5.Fun tube riding
Fun tube riding is a chase of young adrenaline junkies who are towed on an inflated tube of various shapes behind a speedboat across a lagoon. Sometimes the experience ends with everyone being happily fallen into the water.
