Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Vientiane
Welcome to Vientiane, arguably Southeast Asia's quietest capital. Transfer to your hotel. Enjoy an evening stroll along the Mekong River promenade and sample local street food.
Day 2: Vientiane City Tour
Visit the golden stupa of Pha That Luang, the Patuxai Victory Monument, and the serene Wat Sisaket. In the afternoon, visit the quirky Buddha Park filled with bizarre concrete sculptures.
Day 3: Transfer to Vang Vieng
Take a scenic drive north into the mountains to Vang Vieng, known for its dramatic limestone karst scenery. Check into your riverside resort and enjoy the breathtaking views.
Day 4: Vang Vieng Caves & Lagoons
Explore the Tham Jang cave. Rent a bicycle or dune buggy to visit the famous Blue Lagoons for a refreshing swim, and take a peaceful kayak trip down the Nam Song River.
Day 5: High-Speed Train to Luang Prabang
Board the new Laos-China high-speed railway for a fast and comfortable journey to Luang Prabang. Arrive in the UNESCO World Heritage city, check in, and explore the night market.
Day 6-7: Discovering Luang Prabang
Over two days, participate in the morning alms giving, visit the stunning Kuang Si waterfalls, take a Mekong River cruise to the Pak Ou Caves, and explore the historic Royal Palace and Wat Xieng Thong.
Day 8: Departure
Enjoy a final Lao coffee by the river before your transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport for your flight home.
