Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
Welcome to Luang Prabang. Settle into your hotel. In the late afternoon, climb Mount Phousi for a sunset view over the city, followed by a welcome dinner of traditional Lao cuisine.
Day 2: Luang Prabang Temples & Kuang Si
Visit the stunning Wat Xieng Thong temple. After lunch, drive into the countryside to swim in the turquoise pools of Kuang Si Waterfalls and visit the Asiatic black bear sanctuary.
Day 3: Journey to Nong Khiaw
Leave Luang Prabang and drive north through stunning mountainous scenery to the riverside town of Nong Khiaw. Check into your bungalow overlooking the Nam Ou River.
Day 4: Boat to Muang Ngoi
Board a traditional longtail boat and travel up the Nam Ou River. The scenery here is spectacular, with towering limestone karsts. Arrive in the remote village of Muang Ngoi (accessible only by boat) and take a short trek to rural farming villages.
Day 5: 100 Waterfalls Trek
Return downriver to Nong Khiaw. Embark on the famous "100 Waterfalls" trek, wading through a series of cascading streams in the primary jungle.
Day 6: Return to Luang Prabang
Drive back to Luang Prabang. En route, stop at the Pak Ou Caves, located at the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong rivers. Enjoy a free final evening in Luang Prabang.
Day 7: Departure
Transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport for your departure flight.
